Things change as years go by; the things that were there in the ancient time are not the same as today. For example, in the ancient days people did not use mobile phone they used to send a messenger to deliver messages. Then people stopped using messengers and advanced to telephones, and today people use mobile phones. The same can also be said about the education system. Over the years, students have been attending classes where they meet face to face with their teacher which is not necessarily the case nowadays. Today, students can attend online high school, that is, on their computers where they do not meet their teachers face to face.

Online highschool is a mode of study where students require a computer and access to the internet only in order to do their studies. Their courses have been uploaded and once they are done with their assignment they send it to their teacher.

There have been, however, many myths surrounding this mode of study one of them being that colleges will not accept diplomas from students who have studied online which is not true as long as they have done what is required of them they will be accepted to any college of their choice. Some people also say that it is easier to study online than the traditional class which is not the case because the courses are the same.

It has also been said that this mode of study is as expensive as private schools which is not true because all that is required is a laptop or desktop and access to internet, the fees paid is actually less than the traditional schooling. Some people also say that this method of schooling is for kids who are troubles which is also not true because it cater for everyone who wishes to do it.

It is therefore important to look at the advantages when considering this mode of study. The first one is that a student sets the pace in which he or she can manage no one can trouble or hurry you. The student also gets to do their courses anywhere and anytime they prefer.

There usually is minimal distraction as compared to the traditional classes where there are many students making noise and make concentration almost impossible. And finally to be able to graduate earlier, a student needs to do their courses in the fastest time possible because there simply is no limit on when to study as compared to the traditional classes.

There are also some disadvantages of online schooling which are; it may be difficult for a student to focus in their studies when there is no teacher, that is, they might not be able to understand what they are learning which makes it difficult to move forward. There is also no fun because mostly you are alone as compared to the traditional classroom and a student might lose focus because there is no one to supervise them.

From the advantages it is obvious that online highschool is better than the traditional schooling. Its easier, faster and convenient to anyone. It is also cheaper which is encouraging to people who cannot afford to pay fees for normal schooling.
