Baristas should know how to navigate their work environments, reaching all of the necessary ingredients without much difficulty. If this is done, this individual's skill set will become that much stronger.

Keep in mind that people can have different allergies related to nuts, dairy, and the like; chances are that different products will be made with these ingredients. Be clear about these ingredients, if customers ask about them, so that they can make more informed purchases. This is another way to exercise your abilities, as a barista, and it will allow others to put the utmost trust in you.
