In fall more natural looking elements make their way into floral designs. More foliage, fillers, twigs and even vegetables are incorporated into bouquets and arrangements than any other season. Often used in more contemporary, high styled floral designs; callas can add elegance to more natural looking floral designs with the combination of foliage and fillers. When I use seeded eucalyptus I strip most or all of the leaves off the branch. I prefer using willow seeded eucalyptus because it is a more upright variety and has less of a droop than regular seeded eucalyptus. Seeded Eucalyptus has droopy pale leaves, and has clusters of flower-like seed pods along the stem. Each stem is 20"-26" in length. This product will stay fresh for 2-3 weeks, depending on care and climate.
Yarrow: Yarrow is a hardy filler with colorful flat-topped flower clusters. Clusters on yarrow are made of dense masses of small daisy flowers. Yarrow has foliage that is fern like. Using yarrow adds texture and creates a unique look in any floral design. Achillea millefolium, known commonly as common yarrow, is a flowering plant in the family Asteraceae. It is native to temperate regions of the Northern Hemisphere in Asia, Europe, and North America. It has been introduced as a feed for livestock in places like New Zealand and Australia. However, it is a weed in those places and sometimes also in its native regions.
