Should you be a nurse, nursing student, or a new nursing graduate, then you will know what NCLEX is. NCLEX stands for the National Council Licensure Examination that many nurses will take to ensure registered status in the United States. Thus, if you want to successfully pass this exam, then you need to review for it effectively and properly. Many offer review classes to supposedly assist you, like some NCLEX California review classes out there.

Before you just pick any review class offered out there, and there are plenty, then you need to prepare a short checklist to guide you in your choice. Lacking this, you will be open to any haphazard decision or choice that you may regret later on. This article will cover what you will include in this checklist so you will only take into account what is the right information to process rather than haphazardly choosing.

Ask friends who have passed the NCLEX which review center they have used and how they found it in terms of quality of service and such. Friends will always be able to give you good information and point you in the right direction. If you lack contacts regarding this first hand information then you will have to do some internet research.

When you have found some review service providers on the internet do take note of the following information which can include number of years in operation, general success rate of their review students in passing the NCLEX, the competency and abilities of their staff, scheduling and so on and so forth. Do take note of their contact numbers or email so you can follow up with more detailed questions.

When contacting them ask about how comprehensive their system is and it if it will be able to assist you in tackling dreaded questions like the SATA. The SATA, or Select All That Apply questions are a stumbling block for most takers. Inquire into how they will enhance your understanding of critical nursing concepts in tackling these kinds of questions.

Inquire also how they will develop your critical thinking skills and what kind of educational method or system they will use for this, as this will be very important in high level analysis type of questions which can be seen in Prioritization and Delegation sections. Ask if they will provide you sets of questions to study and build your knowledge on. And related to this ask how updated their resources are.

Ask about their provision of individualized assessments if any. A general rule is that the more regular these assessments are, the better it is for you. These will show early on and during the entire process if you have a chance of passing the NCLEX or not, and also what they will do to remediate low scores on this.

Thus covered are some main considerations in your looking for a good review center for your needs. Always put these items in consideration when making a choice apart from scheduling and price differences.
