Siberians are the most intriguing cats you can imagine. Maybe you prefer dogs, but if you get to know one of these lovely animals, you might reconsider. Some cats can be moody and stubborn, but Siberians are so lovable and affectionate, friendly and playful, that you won't believe it. And they are just fascinated by water. Strange animals, strange and amazing. Find yourself Siberian kittens for sale and see it for yourself.

Their appearance is just one reason for this high popularity. Their character, their lovely, friendly nature and their curiosity are also to be considered. These cats really are affectionate, and they are so intelligent. People sometimes compare them to dogs, thanks to the fact they enjoy learning new things and playing with toys, just like dogs.

When it comes to a size, Siberians are medium to large. Their medium long double hair makes them really beautiful, soft inside with thicker top coat. It's interesting that females are not just a little bit smaller, but noticeably. Both males and females are really lovable and friendly, and make friends with children, and even with other animals in your household, including dogs.

Siberians come in various lovely colors. Beautiful nuances of cinnamon, chocolate and caramel are so warm and appealing that you won't be able to resist. Tabby is especially popular variation, and bi-colors and 3-colors are equally lovely. Color pointed variation with interesting blue eyes is something special. Talking about eyes, they can be in different colors, but color pointed and white patterned must have blue eyes.

This is actually one ancient breed. They used to live in Siberia, a cold part of Russia, for thousands of years. In the nineteenth century, they became known outside of Russia as well, and since then, they are really very popular in all parts of the world. The reason of their high popularity is their lovely appearance, of course, but also their lovely manners, playfulness and other good qualities, including especially high intelligence.

When it comes to grooming, you should expect a lot of work. To avoid tangling, their lovely coats need to be brushed several times a week. There will be more to do in a period of changing hair, usually twice a year, in spring and in autumn. During winter months, their hair is usually thicker. You also need to check their ears regularly, to avoid too much wax and possible infections.

Feeding is important ritual for Siberian. They need to be fed a few times a day, always at the same time, with good quality food. When a new kitten comes to your home, you should feed him with the food he is already used to, at the same time it was given to him when he was at the breeder's home. If not, tummy problems might be expected.

These lovely cats are generally healthy. Even so, ask the breeder to issue appropriate health certificate and find a good vet to take care of your new pet. It will take up to five years for your new pet to reach a full maturity, and this is unusually slow for a cat. With good food and care, your Siberian may live around fifteen years, filling your home with joy.
