Roofs of houses and roofs of office buildings are very much different in terms of handling and in terms of installation. In fact, Atlanta commercial roofing is considered much harder to do than residential roof handling because of size and scope. Also, office roof handling also has many more requirements contributing to its difficulty.

Now, if one owns or maintains an office building of some sort, then he or she has to be very familiar with the type of roofs that they use so that he or she will know how to install, repair, and maintain them. Take note that handling office roofs is much more different than handling residential roofs. Here are some differences to know about the roofing of office buildings.

Now, one of the main and most obvious differences between the two types of roof handling would be the material used for both. If one has done home roof jobs before, he will know that the materials used for these types of roofs are either concrete or asphalt. Offices, on the other hand, would have roofs that have a series of different materials to choose from.

With that said, office roofs have more options than residential roofs when it comes to materials. This actually does make sense since office buildings have more requirements needed in order to protect the interior. That is why more choices for options are present.

Another big difference would be the time of installation. For the residential houses, the installation of roofs would usually take just a few days to finish with around a week being the max. For offices though, the installation could take up to a few months depending on the scope of the project due to the size of the roofs of offices.

Other than time frame, office roofs are also a little more complex to handle as compared to regular house roofs. This is because the size greatly differs so the method of installation is a bit harder to do for office roofs. This is also one of the main reasons as to why it takes so long to install office roofs.

For those who own offices, take note of the differences between handling office roofs and residential roofs. As one has read, office roofs are way harder to install and take more time to handle than residential roofs. That said, it is better if one would get a team of experts to handle any office roof installation, maintenance, or repair done as opposed to treating them like DIY jobs.
