Mostly, professional decorators have always wanted to select various types of rugs. The reason is because of their passion for designs, specifically when it comes to delivering the packing colors, patterns, and textures of items used for the floors. These would often include soft and comfortable packages. Some factors that you need to consider when choosing for one are the proper type, pattern, fabric and size.

Size. To consider the rug size is very important and choosing the size will depend on your type preferences. You may have a large sized nursery rug if you are wishing to anchor all of the furniture pieces. And you may also have the small sized one that would be enough to sit off them independently. For room floors which are made of hardwood, larger sizes are recommended.

When choosing for the large size, you need to make sure that the furniture and especially the front legs of the crib are overlapping the edge of the carpet. Make sure that you are also choosing one that can fill an empty space in the room of your child. But at least a few inches must be left between the edges of rug and furniture.

If you prefer to have the smaller rugs, you can surely achieve a proper highlighting of specific areas and items such as the crib and the cozy reading corner. However, to have this would come with an important rule which is having small accent rugs which are big enough in order to set an entire accent pieces and the pieces collection. However, actual placements are dependent on the item.

Other people prefer to have a certain item which is focused, and probably, the most common item is the crib. So try to place the carpet at center of that crib. Make sure that you are also overlapping the front half of crib on the carpet. In setting off the other areas specifically, group the needed items directly unto the carpet.

Balancing the elements. Before purchasing a carpet, you need to consider some important things. Try to determine things which are missing on the design. Consider the necessary elements being used such as the colors and the patterns. Determine as well the various textures. And once you already have figured out what was lacking, filling in the gaps would be the next step.

For selected choices having large neutral palettes, consider to have something with other colors. And for those with solid colors, these can be broken up with bold patterns. If you are also being conscious when it comes to the texture, focus on contrasting the items. Shaggy rugs are best alternatives for basic low pile types.

Choosing the right materials. There are a lot of options provided for you to choose from but you may have a hard time in choosing what is best for the bedroom of your baby. So the most important thing to do is considering your priorities. Make sure to choose one which is durable, strong, and washable synthetic.

Being worried on toxic residues can be eliminated by opting for organic fibers like cotton and sisal. Rugs that are made from wool would be best as well. Organic wool types usually are hardy and are cleaned easily. These materials are both water resistant and are naturally flame. And also, these contain antibacterial properties, good for people with asthma and allergies.
